Key objectives

The primary objectives of the meeting are to:

Prepare for CBS-16
Review the work of the Commission
Ensure the work plans for the period 2012-2016 are producing the required outcomes
Align the work plan for 2016-2019 with the strategic plan of WMO

Travel information

Please note that WMO no longer pays terminal expenses for travel on arrival at or departure from Geneva. On arrival at Geneva Airport, collect a free travel pass from the ticket machines in the baggage hall - this gives access to busses, trams and trains within Geneva for one hour. Hotels within Geneva provide their guests with a Geneva travel pass.

WMO Visitors information

The CBS Management Group meeting starts at 0900 on Monday 15 February 2016 and ends at 1700 on Friday 19 February 2016. The meeting is being held in Salle C2 (in the basement of WMO).

Visitors are reminded that Switzerland uses electrical plug type J. At WMO Headquarters, the sockets are recessed so standard round European plugs need an adapter. If you are unable to buy an adapter before travel, the WMO gift shop sells universal adapters that fit the sockets in the WMO building.

WMO projectors have both VGA and HDMI connectors. If you have a computer that uses another connector type (such as a macbook) you will need an adapter to connect it to the projector.
