Regional Numerical Weather Model in Mozambique

 

The German weather service and Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) have joined in a cooperation to implement a high-resolution numercial weather model in Mozambique to enhance flood forecasting capabilities. To read more, please click here.

Setting up a television weather broadcast in Guyana has helped to inform people about storms and potential flood risks. Networking to save lives

 
 
The German weather service and PAGASA, the Philippine weather bureau, have established a high-speed network for the exchange of valuable data models. This additional resource is essential for PAGASA to determine the impact of typhoons and issue warnings to the people. Thanks to this partnership, many lives could already be saved.
