Development and Regional Activities

The Development and Regional Activities (DRA) department provides assistance and support to the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) of its 191 Members with a strong emphasis on developing and Least Developed Countries (LDCs). We follow regional and national developments in the hydromet sector, communicating with and linking members to each other and to technical and development partners. The ultimate aim is to support NMHSs to provide crucial weather, climate and water information services to the various socio-economic sectors in their countries and also to contribute to the regional and global observation system for benefit of all.
