The Terms of Reference for the Expert Network on Aeronautical Meteorological Information Services and Governance (EN-ISG) are as follows:
Governance and Guidance:
(A) To review existing WMO documents related to Aeronautical Meteorologyy (AeM) and develop the required updates in line with the ICAO Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP) framework, including information and data exchange policies, quality management standards and cost recovery principles.
(B) To support (as requested) the further development and review, including consistency & duplication checks, of WMO AeMP LTP and ICAO METP white paper on the ‘Future Aeronautical MET Information Service Delivery’.
Information and Services:
(C) To promote and coordinate new and enhanced AeM information and services, including land and aircraft- based observations, in close coordination with ICAO METP and relevant WMO entities.
(D) To support (as requested) ICAO METP development and review of performance metrics and validation methodologies for new and enhanced AeM information and services.
(E) To analyze the outcomes of the global survey on sensitivity of future aeronautical meteorological services including the engagement of private sector providers.
