Termination of TAC TEMP and TAC CLIMAT from ENMI (Norway) |
Notification from MET Norway |
Effective 8 January 2018 MET Norway will stop distributing TAC
TEMP data (U(S|K|L|E)NOii ENMI). After that only BUFR TEMP will be
distributed. Stations: 01001, 01004, 01010, 01028, 01241, 01400, 01415 and 01492.
Effective 2018 MET Norway will stop distributing TAC CLIMAT
data. The last TAC CLIMAT issued will be for December 2017.
TAC CLIMATs stopped: CSAA01 ENMI and CSNO11 ENMI. These correspond to BUFR CLIMATs ISCL01 ENMI and ISCD11 ENMI, respectively.
New lists IUKD18 ENMI and IUSD18 ENMI: From 7 November 2017 BUFR TEMP will be distributed on the GTS from a new radiosonde station set up in collaboration with Vaisala for prototype testing
until April 2018, after which the station will be dismounted. Ordinarily, BUFR TEMP (but no TAC TEMP) will be issued two times per
day (00 and 12 UTC) in lists IU(K|S)D18 ENMI. Since the position of the new station is very close to the radar station Stad (registered in
OSCAR Surface as 0-20000-0-01206), they will use the WMO station number 01206 to identify the radiosonde station in the BUFR message.
Station 01193 Narvik should be removed from S(M|I|N)NO49 ENMI and IS(M|I|N)D39 ENMI, as this station has been shut down. |
