Groundwater station:

Water level in borehole or spring yield measurement.

Sediment station:

A place where sediment samples are regularly taken (both suspended sediment and bottom sediment) for sediment quantity or granularity analyses.”

Stage recording station:

Water level in rivers or lakes is measured continuously and recorded (not water level in boreholes or wells). The stage is not transformed into discharge by rating curve or other means.
