Bob Bunge manages the software and data management teams of the Telecommunications Operations Center, the NWS central communications data switching and monitoring facility that is also a central source for products and observations. For many years, Bob has been a leader in operational use of CAP by the National Weather Service.

Eliot Christian is a consultant to and retired from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). He is also a volunteer to and retired from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Eliot led broad programs for environmental data sharing and had a key role in several technical standards, including CAP. His primary expertise is information discovery and metadata.

Massimo Cristaldi began his career developing software and consulting on earthquakes effects in urban areas. He managed various European research projects and founded a seismic simulation company which later merged with IES Solutions. Massimo is now Chief Technical Officer of IES. IES has won many innovation awards for emergency services interoperability, and creates solutions related to several aspects of emergency management and 112 adoption in Europe.

Simon Elliott works for EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. As Product Integration Manager, Simon is responsible for operational deployment of product processing systems for satellite meteorology and climate monitoring from space. In support of the alerting process, EUMETSAT produces and disseminates CAP formatted messages relating the detection of active fires and volcanic ash.

Siegfried Fechner works at Deutscher Wetterdienst, the meteorological organization of Germany.Siegfried works in the 'Dedicated Systems' department where he is responsible for the development of different data distribution systems for national and international customers. He also coordinates the introduction of CAP as an additional data format for warning.

He is currently working with Google DotOrg's Crisis Response team, focused on critical information accessibility during natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Steve worked on Google's advertising system and helped improve access in Africa to health and agriculture information.

Elysa Jones is the Chief Technology Officer for AlertSense powered by MyStateUSA.  She has chaired the OASIS Emergency Management Technical Committee since 2004.  This committee is responsible for the development of the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and other data standards for message distribution, resource messaging, hospital availability and situation reporting in support of emergency response.  She actively consults with governments and organizations in the use of CAP.

His duties include monitoring and maintaining sensors and warning systems for the Indonesia Tsunami Early Warning Center. He is an experienced systems engineer with a computer science education.

Samuel Muchemi is the Scientific Officer, Public Weather Services (SO/PWS), WMO since 2006. He joined the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) in 1980 as a weather forecaster and later as a weather presenter on television for the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). He was also in charge of the Public Weather Services Division of KMD.

Serhat Sensoy is Chief of the Climatology Division of Turkish State Meteorological Service (TSMS), responsible for monthly, seasonal, annual and long-term climatological analyses, climate atlas, and climate parameters modeling. He prepares monitoring and seasonal predictions of temperature and precipitation, and authored about 69 climate and agriculture papers in international proceedings and journals. Mr Sensoy currently serves as the Vice-President, WMO Commission for Climatology (CCl).

Tong Yu Fai (YF Tong) is a Scientific Officer of the Service Delivery Division of the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO). He joined the HKO in 1997 to develop the HKO Internet website and then worked as a weather forecaster. He is now in charge of the operation and development of Internet weather services of the HKO.

Peiliang Shi is now the Officer in Charge of the WMO Weather and Disaster Risk Reduction Services Department and prior Director of the WMO Information System (WIS). Before coming to WMO, he was Director of the National Meteorological Information Centre at the China Meteorological Administration. He has been involved in the development and operational management of meteorological information systems for more than 25 years.
