Format and instructions for the Ship Observations Team (SOT) National Reports for 2006
- Coordinate at the national level and nominate one SOT Focal Point.
- The name of the nominated SOT Focal Point should appear on the first page of the report under
"prepared by" (form
Country-SOT-NR-2006.doc).
- The nominated SOT Focal Point would be responsible for:
(i) Collating the completed parts;
(ii) Sending all parts to WMO by the required date; and
(iii) Sending the individual programme reports to the appropriate chairpersons.
- All Member countries should send 2006 SOT National Reports (form Country-SOT-NR-2006.doc)
to WMO (echarpentier
wmo.int).
- Member countries operating a VOS programme should send the completed form
"Country-VOS-2006.doc" to
WMO (echarpentier
wmo.int) and VOSP chairperson, Ms Julie Fletcher
(fletcher metservice.com);
- Member countries which are members of SOOPIP should send the completed form
"Country-SOOP-2006.doc"
to WMO (echarpentier
wmo.int) and the SOOP
chairperson, Mr Steve Cook (stevencook skcook.us);
- Member countries operating an ASAP should send the completed form "Country-ASAP-2006.doc"
to WMO (echarpentier
wmo.int)
and the ASAP chairperson, Ms Sarah North (sarah.north metoffice.gov.uk)
(Please note: E-ASAP may submit a consolidated ASAP report for ships 'managerially' transferred to
E-ASAP).
- Submission no later than 28 February 2007.
