At the kind invitation of the NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) and in collaboration with the Federal Aviation Adminsitration (FAA), AvMET Applications, Inc. and RTCA, Inc., a conjoint session of the WMO Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre Best Practices (VAAC BP) and WMO/IUGG Volcanic Ash Scientific Advisory Group (VASAG) was held at the offices of RTCA Inc. in Washington DC, United States of America from 21 to 22 November 2019.
The first meeting of the CAeM Expert Network on Aeronautival Meteorological Hazards Science (EN-MHS) was held at the kind invitation of the South African Weather Service (SAWS) in Pretoria, South Africa from 22 to 23 August 2019.
The meeting was held conjointly with an AvRDP Seminar and AvRDP SSC Meeting taking place at the same location from 19 to 22 August 2019.

The Government of Senegal and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) organized a 2018 African Conference on Meteorology for Aviation (ACMA-2018). The Conference was held at the Rhino Resort Hotel in Saly Portudal (near Dakar), Senegal from 28 to 30 November 2018.
A conjoint sixth Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre Best Practices Workshop and eighth Volcanic Ash Scientific Advisory Group Meeting was held at the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA NZ) and Meteorological Service of New Zealand Ltd. (MetService) in Wellington from 5 to 9 November 2018.
This conjoint event was held immediately prior to back-to-back meetings of the ICAO Meteorology Panel WG-MOG (IAVW) and WG-MISD (VASD) from 12 to 14 November 2018 at CAA NZ.

The annual WMO/UK Met Office Aviation Seminar will be hosted this year by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in New Delhi, India, from Monday 13 to Friday 17 November 2017.
The aim of the seminar is to provide training, guidance and practical examples of several key aspects of meteorology and forecasting for Aviation, to support forecasters in this specialized area. This year’s seminar will focus on the topics of Aviation Hazards and SIGMETs.
