AFD

If you wish to do the AFD exercises during the course you need a laptop with wireless LAN which should fulfil one of the following requirements:

• either have linux installed
• or if you have XP/Windows 7 you either need putty or, better, if you want to do the exercise with the graphical user interface of AFD install cygwin (see installation instructions).

During the course the users with XP/Windows 7 will get access to a virtual machine which will have a linux distribution of their choice installed (either Fedora 17, Scientific Linux 6 (RedHat), Ubuntu 12.04 or opensuse 12.1).
