Mission

To support the implementation of the resolutions and decisions adopted by the seventeenth session of the Regional Association VI (RA VI -17) concerning the WMO Integrated Observing System (WIGOS).

Terms of Reference

Implementation & further development of the Regional WIGOS Implementation Plan;

The integration of WIGOS regional network components;

The contribution to WIGOS regulatory material;

The development of the regional WIGOS Data Quality Monitoring System;

The support and assistance in using the OSCAR;

The assistance in establishing and operation of Regional WIGOS Centers;

The coordination of capacity development activities in the Region; and

The evolution of their regional networks according to the implementation plan for the evolution of global observing systems;

Report to the RA VI Management Group and the WMO Secretariat on the progress.
