IPET-MDRD-1-Local

Local arrangements for IPET-MDRD-1

Getting to the meeting

Washington Dulles (IAD), Washington National (DCA), and Baltimore Washington (BWI) airports are roughly equidistant.
  • DCA is connected to the metro rail system, so it is easy to get from DCA to Silver Spring station by train.
  • Most international flights arrive at IAD, to which the metro is still under construction, so it is necessary to hire a taxi, rent a car, or take a shuttle (e.g.,
http://www.supershuttle.com/Locations/IADAirportShuttleWashington.aspx)
  • BWI is in theory accessible by Amtrak train to Washington or bus to Greenbelt, followed in either case by metro to Silver Spring, but this is apparently complicated. Taxi, rental car, or shuttle advisable (e.g.,
