Data is often captured (e.g. initials, names) but don't necessarily want to share this information.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Sometimes site information (location/photos etc.) may not be able to be made public (e.g. sensitive). May want to only provide approximate locations.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Images (scans) are protected against alteration. e.g. digital signatures. (integrity of metadata resources is out of scope for WIGOS metadata). But may need document metadata to flag the status of documents (official records, circumstantial etc.)<br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Different cultural or legal norms in different countries.<br /></p>
