The XML Schema Implementation collapses many of the conceptual model metadata classes together for simplicity of encoding. There are three metadata classes:<br /></p><p><ul><li>ObservationMetadata: Metadata about the whole timeseries observation      </li><br /></p><p><li>TimeseriesMetadata: Metadata about the whole timeseries.      </li><br /></p><p><li>PointMetadata: Metadata about individual points in the timeseries. PointMetadata may be set to a default across the whole timeseries and over-ridden for individual points.      </li><br /></p><p></ul><br /></p>
