    PUBLICATIONS NO. 9: VOLUME A - "OBSERVING STATIONS"
    FEEDBACK for Observing network: Explanatory Note   Feedback Form
    Meteosat-8 Global Instability Product Change
    Change in the Meteosat-8 Global Instability Product disseminated via Eumetcast.

Several parameters in the BUFR encoded Global Instability Index (GII) Product for Meteosat-8 have been declared as missing. The parameters involved are:

K Index
KO Index
Lifted Index
Maximum Buoyancy

The change took effect on 18 March 2004 at 10:00 UTC

    VOLUME C1 - CATALOGUE OF METEOROLOGICAL BULLETINS

    WMO No. 386 - MANUAL ON THE GTS
    The Manual on the GTS, Volume I - Global Aspects  is now available in PDF format on the WMO FTP server.

Volume I is currently  up-to-date, and includes CBS-Ext 02 decisions endorsed by EC-LV (2003)

    DATA MANAGEMENT
   

The 2003 EUMETNET/EUCOS monitoring report is available on the WMO FTP server.  This document is intended to give an overview of the availability and quality of observations within the EUCOS area during 2003
