Working Arrangements
At the kind invitation of the government of Australia, the third meeting of the RA V Working Group on the Planning and Implementation of the WWW will be held in Sydney, Australia from 3 to 7 December 2001. Dr R. Brook (Australia) will chair the meeting. Details on the venue and travel information will be provided later. Documents will be available via the WMO Web server at http://www.wmo.ch/web/www/WDM/RA3-PIW-3/documents.html and will be mailed only on request.
The working language of the meeting will be English.
Location and Accommodation
The meeting will be held in the Furama Central Hotel where a special rate for the meeting of A$130 (including breakfast) has been arranged. The hotel is is adjacent to Centennial Plaza . Bookings should be made directly with the hotel with Sophia Wilkoszewski ( sales3.fhsyd@furama-hotels.com). Participants should advise her that they are attending the World Meteorological Organisation Meeting in Sydney and should provide the following details;

The hotel is very close to Central Railway Station and are on the edge of the Central Business District. Numerous other hotel options within 10-15 minutes walk or short taxi ride. These can be found by searching for hotels at http://sydney.citysearch.com.au/. This site is also a good source of other information on Sydney. If needed, we can assist with other hotel bookings and arranging a government rate.
Transportation
There are two principal means of transportation from the airport to the hotel: taxi and train. Trains from the airport to the "Central" railway station run frequently (about every 10 minutes) and cost A$10 one way. It is a very short walk from the station to the hotel. A taxi from the airport to the hotel should cost about A$20.
