FLUOROMETRIC PROCEDURES FOR DYE TRACING

 

1.   Purpose and objectives

     To provide background information on instruments and procedures used in dye tracer studies.

2.   Description

     The manual (Wilson and others, 1986) describes fluorometric procedures used in dye tracer studies such as time of travel, dispersion, reaeration, and dilution-type discharge measurements. It includes information on fluorescence, dyes, and fluorometers and a description of fluorometer operation and calibration procedures as a guide for laboratory and field  use.
