HYDROLOGICAL OBSERVATION EXPLAINED IN PICTURES

 

1.   Purpose and objectives

     To provide clear and easily understandable guidance to personnel involved in hydrological field work.

2.   Description

     The handbook describes in pictures the recommended hydrological observation practices and the more significant errors to avoid. It covers rainfall, water level and discharge observation and the inspection of observation stations.

5.   Operational requirements and restrictions

     The handbook is intended for use by hydrological field technicians and observers.

     A booklet of 210 x 146 mm and 128 pages. The text explaining the pictures is in English.

     The handbook is the result of long years of experience of senior staff of the Japan Ministry of Construction.
