QUARTZ TYPE WATER LEVEL GAUGE
 

1.   Purpose and objectives

     To measure the water level precisely.

2.   Description

     This water level gauge is mainly used for measuring the water level in rivers, waterways, aqueducts etc. A sensor is installed at the bottom of the river to determine the hydraulic pressure. A quartz oscillator is used within the pressure sensor so that results with the greatest stability and accuracy can be obtained.

3.   Input

     Actual water level.

4.   Output

     Water level as a digital signal (B.C.D.), analogue signal (0V-5V DC and 0mV-10mV DC) on a digital data display or as a printed listing.

5.   Operational requirements and restrictions

     A protection take is needed for the sensor and cable.

6.   Form of presentation

     A catalogue and instrument specifications are available.

7.   Operational experience

     About 200 sets were installed in Japan in 1999.
