RAINFALL LOGGER |

1. Purpose and objectives To acquire contact pulse signal data from a tipping bucket rainfall gauge and to process them. 2. Description This rainfall logger is used with a tipping bucket rain gauge. It acquires data from the rain gauge and processes them using a microprocessor unit. Intensity and accumulated amount of rainfall, and daily maximum values are obtained graphically and numerically. The roll chart needs to be changed every 3 months. 3. Input Contact pulse signal of a tipping bucket rain gauge. 4. Output Data stored on an IC card memory, printed listings and graphical and text display on a liquid crystal panel. An alarm signal, either audible or as a contact pulse, can be generated. 5. Operational requirements and restrictions The logger requires a regulated power supply and the installation must avoid vibration, high temperatures and humid conditions. 6. Form of presentation A catalogue and instrument specifications are available. 7. Operational experience About 120 sets were installed in Japan during 1999. 8.
